- Single Obligor Limit -> interlink by any relation in any loan. Or share of more than 25% in any entity
- SOL should be upto 25% of core capital in funded or non funded loan. But for sme, export, agri entity, medical, transport, or other manufacturing unit upto 30%.
- Hydro, transmission line, renewable energy, cable car upto 50% in funded or non-funded. but hydro ppa (Power Purchase Agreement) is must. If borrower under this category wants to invest in other category, then total SOL must be under 50% of core capital. eg: in hydro sector 40% then other sector 10%
- Limit above SOL % must be provisioned for 100%
- Share Loan (margin lending) - provided by any one or all licensed institutions – 15.00 Cr for individual. But no limit for entity whose main task is to trade in share market.
- No SOL attracts in loan against fd, nrb debenture, loan against guarantee by Asian dev bank, world bank or international rate bank (list published on every july by the banker Newpaper from london), nepal oil/ food cooperation, salt trading, Agriculture Materials Company Ltd.
- Quarterly report to nrb by a class for loan above 5 Cr.
- Total outstanding loan in any sector must not exceed in 40% of total loan.
- Loan in housig sector must be under or equal to 25% of total loan.
- Land purchase and plotting loan should be 10% of total loan.
- Loan to value ratio (LTV) should be less or equal to 50% of FMV. But for Personal Residential Home Loan and housing co. to build residential home LTV equal or less than 60%.
- First Home Buyer – upto 2 Cr. - 70% LTV {built area less or equal to 3000 Sq. Feet, not taken any home loan before, same home rental income cannot consider}
- Victim of 2080 kartik earthquake add 10% in existing LTV or can go upto 100%
- LTV for all type of vehicle for personal use is 60%
