opening branches/office

 

• prior approval to open branch offices in Metropolitan Cities and Sub-Metropolitan Cities 

• For new branch opening: should maintain prescribed paid-up capital. Should provide road map to make branch in BEP or profit within 3 years of operation of branch excluding IBT income. 

• Should open branch within 6 months from approval from NRB 

• Three branches outside KTM valley (min 2 in municipality or rural mun.) then only one branch in KTM valley 

• Province office in every province mandatorily only for A class BFI 

• Prior approval for place change, branch close or address change of branch or corporate office 

• Prior approval to open extension counter in metro city, sub metro and municipality. 

• No loans from extension counter. 

• can apply to open extension counters within Kathmandu Valley, and metro city specifically in locations such as courts, hospitals, military barracks, universities, campuses, schools, government offices, industrial areas, and foreign diplomatic missions upon their recommendations within 200 meter distance from such office 

• A class BFI can open branch in foreign country 

• Minimum paid up capital fulfillment  

•  Maintained capital fund for last 5 year 

• NPA below 5% 

• No action in previous and current Fy beside CRR 

• no addition of more than 2% of total risk-weighted assets
